Carlos Mencia is Hilarious!! =D

To be honest.. I have always been a fan of Carlos Mencia and his humor. I admire him for being so "in-your-face" and honest.. very little people like that exist anymore.. and I love the fact that he makes that a topic to pick on in his "Take a Joke America" stand-up. He also picks on the education system having lower standards than before (which is definitely true) and how nowadays we have to be so careful as to not offend anybody.. like America has become very sensitive all of a sudden.. and I feel that with this he targets everyone. His jokes aren't meant just for one racial, or social group.. they were meant for the general public. Carlos is very open.. and isn't afraid to tell all.. I respect his opinion.. and he definitely achieved to make me laugh until I cried!! :D So.. yeah.. Carlos Mencia became some sort of a controversy with his public speaking.. which just serves to prove his point.. Why must we be so careful? What is there to hide? Why are we so easily offended? Like everything in life though.. there are always the exception to the rule.. like Mencia himself.. to all of those people.. I applaud you.. and encourage you to continue doing what you're doing to make yourself happy..

Very Dark Days..

Watching the movie Dark Days surprised me a bit. I really could've never imagined that in this country, the "land of opportunity" as they so call it, there can be people living in those conditions. The most amazing part of it all, was how well they had adapted. I found it very wierd how one of them was even praising it.. saying how there were no bills to pay there.. But the truth of the matter is, that they didn't have the same luxuries... so what made them so happy? By the end of the movie.. after they were being told that they were going to give them an apartment to live in, though, their attitudes changed.. they then realized they weren't living such a fairytale anymore.. I love this country.. and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else.. This truly is the land of opportunity.. you just have to wait for it to get to you...

Unbelievable! :-0 That Miss Teen U.S.A. pageant is ridiculous. I understand and sympathize with her that she was on national television so... she got nervous... but... isn't that why all the pageant girls go through what they call "pageant training?" I personally don't feel like she redeemed herself by going on the Today Show either. I just think that as an 18 year old girl, just like most of us in this class which are about the same, if not the same, age, she could've done MUCH better. The fact that she finished as 3rd runner up though doesn't really bother me though... I felt bad about her mix up so at least finishing in the top 4 will cut her some slack... poor girl must have been really embarrassed!... It just goes to show that parents now a days should keep their kids focused on school and not on some dumb beauty pageant.

I have to say that I really don't see what is so amusing about these blog things.I still haven't been able to figure out how to use this. For now, I really don't feel very happy about having this blog :-(. Hopefully I'll get used to it, and learn how to use it soon! That way you guys will have something a little more interesting to see and read. So much time I've been avoiding this and I've finally been forced to use it... Oh well... it had to happen sometime, right?...
